What if there really was a formula for finding love?

My first novel, No Such Thing As Perfect, was published in August 2021 by Century. It’s a romantic comedy about love and technology, the mysteries of attraction, and navigating a world of twos when you’re a one. There’s also a dog in it. Sounds like it might be up your street? Read on… (You can buy it at all these places too!)

Nobody’s life is as perfect as it looks – and least of all Laura Morrison's. (Although she's not sure how perfect hanging onto your job by a thread and sleeping on an air mattress at your sister's looks, in all honesty.) When Laura gets the chance to trial Cupid – a high-tech new dating service which will draw on everything she's ever done online to find her perfect match – she figures it's got to be worth a try. She can't believe her luck when good-looking, kind considerate Adam turns up for their first date. On paper he's...well...perfect. But when Laura develops feelings for the person who led her to Adam in the first place, familiar doubt creeps in.

Maybe for life to start falling into place, Laura has to learn to let go...

Dee Jensen’s life is about to get complicated…

My second novel, It’s Complicated, came out in July 2023 with Century. Like No Such Thing As Perfect, it’s a romantic comedy – but it’s also about fertility, first love and the families that we find along the way. It features a cat called Ronnie Biggs and what I think are probably some of my best jokes, and is available to buy at all these places.

Thirty-four-year-old Dee’s world gets turned upside down when she's told by her doctor that if she wants to start a family she needs to get on with it – fast. The problem is, her almost-definitely boyfriend Nat has almost-definitely just broken up with her. At the same time she's trying to keep her two best friends happy, parenting her own parents and attempting to escape from a job that pays her in burritos. Could platonic co-parenting – where two friends have a child together with no romantic connection – be the easy answer? Dee finds herself suggesting the idea to Andy, a man she’s only just met. In the cold light of day he doesn't find it as laughable as she does... But will feelings surface along the way? And, in her heart of hearts, does Dee even want a baby?
